Tournament Format

This is a 36 hole scratch tournament, divided into flights.  Each player is assigned a flight based upon his average 18 hole score.  You compete only against the golfers in your particular flight.  Records from previous years are used to verify averages.  After the first round is complete, the committee will compare the average turned in to your actual score. Anyone posting a score of ten strokes less than their average is subject to re-flighting to the appropriate flight.

There are modified rules for improving lies, gimmie putts and out of bounds penalties. The Rules of Play Sheet will be on each cart.

Championship Flight - At the completion of round 1, we will take the lowest 10 scores (plus ties) for Delta employees (active and retired)  and the lowest 10 scores for everyone else and establish a Delta and a VIP Championship Flight.  Everyone will play the blue tees.

Senior Flight - There is a senior’s flight for golfers age 60 and over.  This flight is handicapped and has both gross and net winners.  Those playing in the senior’s flight may play from the Senior (white)  tees.

Super Senior Flight - There is a Super Seniors flight for golfers age 70 and older.  This flight is handicapped and has both gross and net winners.   The Super Senior flight is played from the brown tee markers on all three courses.
